IT Cloud Engineer II, Full Time, First Shift
The Cloud Engineer supports infrastructure required for enterprise AI, machine learning, large language model(LLM), and intelligent automation platforms, and is responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure and platform services across the healthcare organization. This role supports cloud strategy, migration initiatives, operational support, automation, security, and optimization efforts for enterprise applications and infrastructure hosted in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
The Cloud Engineer partners with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, DevOps, and operational teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant cloud solutions that support healthcare operations, clinical systems, digital transformation initiatives, and business continuity objectives.
Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Engineering & Operations:
• Designs, deploys, administers, and supports enterprise cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Supports public, private, and hybrid cloud environments across enterprise healthcare systems.
• Implements cloud networking, storage, compute, identity, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Supports enterprise cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Develops and maintains cloud infrastructure standards, templates, and operational procedures.
• Assists with implementation of cloud-native technologies and platform services.
• Supports cloud capacity planning, scalability, availability, and performance optimization activities.
• Collaborates with infrastructure and application teams to ensure operational readiness and system reliability.
Cloud Security, Governance & Compliance:
• Works closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure cloud architecture and operational compliance.
• Implements cloud security best practices including identity management, encryption, segmentation, and access controls.
• Supports healthcare regulatory compliance requirements including HIPAA and organizational security standards.
• Assists with vulnerability remediation, audit preparation, and risk mitigation activities.
• Participates in cloud governance, policy development, and operational standardization efforts.
• Monitors cloud environments for security, operational, and performance-related issues.
• Supports incident response and operational recovery activities related to cloud platforms.
Automation, Integration & Optimization:
• Supports automation of cloud infrastructure deployment and operational processes.
• Implements Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation solutions using approved enterprise tooling.
• Collaborates with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD integration and deployment processes.
• Assists with cloud cost optimization and resource utilization management.
• Integrates cloud platforms with enterprise monitoring, logging, identity, and operational tools.
• Supports enterprise observability and monitoring solutions across cloud environments.
• Participates in cloud architecture reviews and technical assessments.
Documentation & Project Support:
• Maintains cloud architecture documentation, operational procedures, diagrams, and standards.
• Documents cloud configurations, dependencies, integration points, and support processes.
• Participates in project planning, implementation activities, and technical reviews.
• Develops operational runbooks and support documentation for cloud services.
• Creates reports related to cloud health, utilization, compliance, and operational performance.
• Participates in change management and operational governance activities.

Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
- 5–8 years of progressive infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud engineering experience.
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education where appropriate.
Preferred:
- Microsoft Certified:
- Azure Administrator Associate
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Azure Security Engineer
- HashiCorp Certified:
- Terraform Associate
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator(CKA)
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
- Healthcare industry experience.
