IT Analyst - Business Systems Analysis

As an IT Analyst - Business Systems Analysis, you will identify business needs, examine processes, and turn requirements into effective technical solutions across various applications and functions. You will work closely with business collaborators, build improvements with development, testing, and functional teams. Your tasks include gathering requirements, evaluating impacts, defining solution scope, fixing defects, and supporting system improvements from planning to rollout. What the day will look like

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability activities.
• Consult with business partners and aligned technical and functional teams to define, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Conduct business process analysis, impact assessments, and solution prioritization for proposed changes and initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend technical solutions that meet business objectives and operational needs.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between business partners, development teams, quality assurance, and other cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate the build, development, testing, implementation, and post-deployment activities throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities by partnering with build and development teams and providing input to release planning and deployment efforts.
• Carry out defect examination, identify underlying causes, and develop corrective action plans to facilitate problem solving and continual progress.
• Develop and review test scenarios, test plans, and test results to ensure appropriate coverage, requirements traceability, and encouraged outcomes.
• Participate in project planning, status reviews, sprint activities, and meetings with business partners and functional team to communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Analyze business processes, find opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and solution effectiveness.
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives, technical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational guidelines.

• This position is remote. Nevertheless, there will be occasions when you are required to participate in meetings face-to-face.
• Experience collecting, examining, recording, and confirming business and system requirements.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, user stories, process flows, and solution documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience performing impact analysis, root cause analysis, and solution prioritization.
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including building, development, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.
• Comfort collaborating with business partners, developers, quality assurance and functional teams, and project leaders.
• Strong communication and facilitation abilities, with the capacity to pose insightful questions, clarify priorities, and record decisions.
• Experience developing test scenarios, test plans, and reviewing test results to confirm requirements coverage and anticipated outcomes.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities, identify risks and dependencies, and support work throughout the project lifecycle.
• A collaborative approach, attention to detail, and a dedication to continuous improvement and delivering practical business solutions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in the industry.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is [$77000 to $100000] annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
