Technology keeps our team moving, and you'll play a key role in making sure everything runs smoothly. As our Helpdesk Support Technician, you'll be the first person teammates turn to when they need support, whether it's setting up a new workstation, solving a connectivity issue, or troubleshooting the tools that power our projects. You'll also work alongside our IT Manager on larger initiatives that strengthen our systems and infrastructure.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and building hands-on experience in a fast-paced architecture and design environment where no two days look the same.
Who You Are
You enjoy helping people and making technology feel approachable. You're naturally curious, quick to troubleshoot, and take pride in finding solutions that keep others productive. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teammates, stay organized, and document your work so others can benefit from it. You're eager to keep learning, take ownership of your work, and contribute to a collaborative team that values great service and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Provide first-line helpdesk support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the firm.
- Set up and configure laptops, workstations, peripherals, and user accounts for new hires while supporting onboarding and offboarding.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, plotters, and other office technology.
- Support basic networking tasks, including Wi-Fi, wired connectivity, network devices, and printer setup.
- Assist employees with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Egnyte, Revit, Bluebeam, and other business applications.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, software licenses, user accounts, and documentation.
- Manage user access and permissions through Rippling IT or similar HRIS-integrated platforms.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the IT Manager and assist with larger infrastructure projects, testing, and technology rollouts.
- Document recurring issues and improve internal knowledge base articles and onboarding resources.
- Provide basic support for meeting room audio/visual and conferencing equipment.
Tools You'll Use
- Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
- Egnyte and cloud file-sharing platforms
- Windows and macOS
- Revit, Bluebeam, and other AEC software
- Rippling IT or similar HRIS-integrated systems
- Basic networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Wi-Fi
- Standard desktop, laptop, printer, plotter, and AV hardware
What You'll Bring
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, including internships.
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach to supporting non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with solid documentation habits.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment such as monitors and desktop towers.
- Experience supporting Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Egnyte, or similar AEC technologies is a plus.
- Exposure to Rippling or similar HRIS/IT management platforms is a plus.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or progress toward similar certifications is a plus.
