Job Summary
Responsible for providing troubleshooting, technical assistance, and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and determines and implements solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide Level 1 support to users for issues regarding computer systems, hardware, or software
Respond to inquiries via Phone, Email, Tickets or in person regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems in accordance with agreed upon SLA’s
Set up IT equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications
Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for all processes required to maintain the user environment covering laptop build, user creation and all system installations
Work closely with our IT team to ensure that all systems are following security and audit requirements
Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service
Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software
Record all incidents and requests into Helpdesk system for audit and review ensuring accurate details and categorizations are logged
Maintain inventory and documentation of all hardware and software systems
Procurement of all IT equipment as needed to support systems
Communicate effectively with all internal associates, including trading, research, management, development, and operations personnel
Maintain currency in all technology policies and procedures and recommend improvements where necessary
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Act as the primary Point of contact for HQ Staff technical support issues
Setup Active Directory and Workgroup accounts as required
Requirements
An Associate's degree in computer science or related field or similar work experience
A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
Knowledge of Microsoft products including but not limited to Windows Operating Systems and Office
A+ or similar cert is a plus
Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
An openness to learning new technologies.
Ability to think outside the box.
Multitasking tickets, calls, remote sessions, etc.
On Call rotation
QualificationsPhysical Requirements:
Lifting/Moving Equipment: Lifting up to 50 lbs to move computers, monitors, or printers from storage to workspaces.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent typing, using a mouse, and handling small tools for hardware repairs.
Positional Flexibility: Bending, crouching, or kneeling to work under desks, cable manage, or set up new workstations.
Visual Abilities: Close-up vision to read screens and differentiate between cables or component colors.
Mobility: Walking between offices or cub
