JOB SUMMARY

 

The temporary Help Desk Technician II (Temporary) will support the IT team in maintaining and improving internal systems, with a primary focus on executing key IT projects over an expected 4–5-month period based on business needs. Responsibilities include assisting with printer migration to Office 365 SMTP, transitioning F1 users to a restricted policy environment, building Knowledge Base documentation, and creating site maps to improve asset and inventory tracking. This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments to deliver responsive, high-quality support with a sense of urgency.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support and execute a variety of IT projects as assigned, contributing to project timelines and deliverables across the IT organization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, Macs, and core applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe)
  • Receive, prioritize, track, and resolve service requests in a timely, customer-focused manner, ensuring clear communication and status updates
  • Configure, deploy, upgrade, repair, and decommission desktop and laptop equipment in alignment with established IT standards
  • Support Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for endpoint devices, business applications, and basic network connectivity (TCP/IP)
  • Assist in analyzing system performance and identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Support device setup, relocation, and installation, including coordination of data and voice connections
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and support activities to ensure data integrity and consistency

 

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Support ad hoc projects or tasks based on department priorities, and business needs.
  • Support conference room and media equipment setup as needed
  • Assist with inventory tracking and asset management activities
  • Provide end-user guidance and basic training on systems and tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • 2+ years of experience providing support in the following areas: desktop, laptops, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and basic networking  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, technical staff, and internal customers. Demonstrated customer service orientation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, desktop and laptop hardware, antivirus software, and basic networking concepts including LAN and WAN environments

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Primarily sedentary work performed in an office or hybrid office environment, involving extended periods of sitting and working at a computer workstation
  • Regular use of hands and fingers for keyboard use, data entry, and operating standard office and computer equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 35 lbs., and function in an environment with constant interruptions
  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively to exchange information, review detailed information on a computer screen, and participate in meetings.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Employee is required to have reliable transportation and maintain current automobile insurance coverage in accordance with California law. This role may require travel between TWG locations as needed to support business operations.

 

 

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly Pay Rate Posted: $26.00/hr - $32.00/hr
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position-related factors.
