Position: Help Desk Specialist
Location: Houston, Texas, United States
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing technical support to end users and possess excellent customer service skills. As a Help Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing remote assistance, and ensuring timely and accurate communication with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all technical inquiries and support requests
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Provide remote assistance to customers and guide them through troubleshooting steps
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT teams
- Keep accurate records of all support tickets and resolutions
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and procedures
- Communicate technical information to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective solutions
- Stay up-to-date with new technology and industry developments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Help Desk or technical support role
- Strong technical knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software
- Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
- Familiarity with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven customer service experience
- IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus
