Overview

Delaware Nation Industries is seeking an AFRL Systems Administrator to support a large Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. AFRL leads and executes U.S. Air Force programs spanning basic research, exploratory development, and advanced development.

In this role, the Systems Administrator will help maintain a reliable and secure information management environment that supports the timely deployment, operation, and sustainment of information systems critical to the AFRL mission. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience supporting enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install software releases, system upgrades, and security patches while resolving software-related issues.
  • Provide end-user support by responding to phone calls, emails, and walk-in technical requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and other computer hardware issues.
  • Perform system backups and recovery procedures to support operational continuity.
  • Image desktop and laptop computers using the latest NIPRNet SDC image.
  • Image desktop and laptop computers on the DREN network.
  • Support occasional imaging of stand-alone systems.
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configurations to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570-compliant certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in information technology, systems administration, or a closely related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
