Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk / Technical Support Consultant to provide technical support to end users, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, manage service requests, and resolve incidents efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 IT helpdesk and technical support via phone and email.
- Log, categorize, prioritize, and track support tickets.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, workstation, and application issues.
- Perform initial diagnosis and escalate issues when required.
- Document resolutions and case details in the ticketing system.
- Monitor open tickets and ensure timely resolution.
- Install and maintain software and provide technical assistance to users.
- Follow established IT support procedures and service-level standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 2–3+ years of Tier 1 IT Helpdesk experience.
- 2–3+ years of Service Administration experience.
- 2–3+ years of IT Troubleshooting experience.
- Associate’s Degree in IT or a related field.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Preferred:
- IT certifications such as A+, Security+, Cisco, or SANS.
- Experience supporting Motorola/radio-related technology.
- Military experience in the radio/communications field.
Important:
- Local candidates only – must reside within 60 miles of Lansing, MI at the time of submission.
