THE ROLE: 

We are seeking a Hardware Diagnostic QA Engineer to join our team to validate and ensure the quality of hardware diagnostic software and manufacturing test solutions. This role focuses on executing diagnostic regression tests, validating new hardware builds, supporting manufacturing test deployment, and serving as the first line of investigation for hardware and diagnostic failures observed during production. technology. 

 

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate has experience working closely with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams, strong Python scripting skills, and a solid understanding of hardware bring-up and validation processes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Hardware Diagnostic Software Validation

  • Execute regression testing for hardware diagnostic software on new hardware builds

  • Validate diagnostic features, test coverage, and stability across different hardware platforms

  • Develop, maintain, and improve automated diagnostic test scripts using Python

  • Ensure diagnostic software meets quality and reliability standards before release to manufacturing

Manufacturing Test Support

  • Prepare, validate, and release diagnostic test scripts to manufacturing teams for production testing

  • Support manufacturing new build bring-up and test readiness

  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure proper test execution and coverage

  • Assist in deploying diagnostic software and test environments in manufacturing

Failure Investigation and Debug

  • Serve as the first line of investigation for failures observed during manufacturing testing

  • Analyze logs, test results, and system behavior to identify root cause or failure scope

  • Reproduce issues in the lab environment and provide detailed debug information

  • Work with hardware, firmware, and ASIC teams to drive resolution

Test Automation and Infrastructure

  • Improve test automation efficiency and reliability

  • Maintain regression test environments and test infrastructure

  • Enhance test scripts and frameworks to support new hardware features 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong experience in hardware validation, diagnostic QA, or manufacturing test
  • Strong Python scripting skills for test automation and debug

  • Experience working with hardware systems, including:

    • Embedded systems

    • ASIC-based platforms, servers, or networking hardware

    • Hardware bring-up or validation

  • Experience executing regression tests and analyzing failures

  • Experience working with manufacturing or production test environments

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with hardware diagnostic software or manufacturing test systems

  • Familiarity with:

    • UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG, PCIe, or Ethernet interfaces

    • Embedded Linux or RTOS environments

    • Automated test systems

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git

  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with hardware and firmware teams

 ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
