Location: Plaquemine, LA (Shintech Plant)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Availability: Immediate


About the Role
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide Tier 1/2 technical support at our Plaquemine plant. This role involves supporting users with desktops and laptops, troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues, installing applications, responding to help desk requests, deploying and recovering equipment, and baselining new computers for deployment.

Requirements

Requirements

  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred
  • Strong computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds overhead
  • Capable of walking throughout the plant site as job duties require
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Good communication skills
  • Even temperament and ability to work well with diverse cultures and personalities
  • Must obtain or currently possess TWIC safety certification
