Veterans First Initiative, LLC (VFI) is a U.S. Government Contractor and IT Services Integrator that delivers Network, Unified Communications, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity Engineering and Infrastructure Solutions on a global scale. VFI is certified by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
VFI seeks an experienced, professional Desktop Support Technician Level II for a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services.
Note: All candidates must possess an active DoD Secret clearance
Location: Homestead ARB/ Homestead, FL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, weekends as needed
Travel: Minimal, less than 10%
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware.
Performs configurations, installations, diagnostics, upgrades, repairs and preventive maintenance of personal computer products and peripherals.
May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.
Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
Maintains currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise.

QualificationsRequirements and Qualifications:
At least 3+ years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician.
Possess or obtain IAT Level II certification.
Capabilities needed to deliver in-person and remote IT aid.
Fantastic installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration abilities.
Excellent vertical and lateral thinking.
Superb time management skills.
Clear written and verbal communication.
