Position Summary
The Desktop Support Technician provides hands-on technical support for PC hardware, software, and end-user systems across the organization. This role is essential in ensuring our teams stay connected, supported, and equipped to deliver high-quality care to the communities we serve.
- Provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and user systems
- Install, configure, and relocate desktop equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot network, connectivity, and phone-related issues
- Support client networking and telecommunications systems
- Set up and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and phones
- Track, maintain, and manage hardware inventory
- Document and monitor user support requests and resolutions
- Partner with external vendors to resolve hardware, software, and IT service needs
- Communicate updates and project status to leadership and team members
- Collaborate with IT team members on support issues and projects
- Identify opportunities for new or improved IT policies and procedures
What You Bring
- Strong customer service mindset with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow direction and eagerness to learn and grow
- Working knowledge of PC hardware and software components
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field or 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Active Directory (preferred, not required)
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Healthcare IT (preferred)
- Equivalent hands-on technical experience may be considered in place of certifications
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel between locations as needed
