Job Description
Job Summary
The Desktop Support Technician provides basic desktop support to all organizational personnel; troubleshoots basic software, hardware, and other Information Technology (IT) related issues; tracks the Help Desk e-ticketing system and responds to requests in a timely manner; and performs general IT device repair.
Responsibilities
Provide basic desktop support to all organizational personnel
Troubleshoot basic software, hardware, and other IT related issues
Track the Help Desk e-ticketing system and respond to requests in a timely manner
Set up Virtual Conferencing (VC) systems in conference and meeting rooms
Answer any calls that may come to the help desk phone and give on-site support as needed
Perform IT device repair (i.e., laptops, cell phones, tablets, etc.)
Assist with maintaining IT Department inventory
Assist with IT projects as requested
Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Minimum 6 months experience in an IT desktop support role, preferred
Bachelor's Degree or Associates degree, preferred
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, required
Strong verbal and written communication skills, can effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to solve problems independently and collectively
Must be personable with a positive attitude and a strong sense of customer services
Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, and may occasionally need to climb a ladder
