Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) user account management. Maintain and update user accounts, computers, and printers.
- Installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft Windows 10/11 Professional and Windows Server environments.
- Setup, change, and terminate user Microsoft 365/Exchange Online email accounts and manage Teams configurations.
- Create and triage incoming service desk tickets using modern ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar).
- Maintain onsite and cloud-based phone systems (VoIP, Microsoft Teams Phone, etc.) including resetting voicemail passwords and user configurations.
- Provide client-side support by troubleshooting and resolving Help Desk tickets for users across corporate and remote locations. Document all actions taken to resolve issues.
- Responsible for creating IT process documentation, knowledge base articles, and team training materials.
- Responsible for ensuring that customer service standards and SLA requirements are met.
- Configure, deploy, and track desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, monitors, and other IT equipment for office staff.
- Perform routine maintenance and administrative tasks including printer maintenance, hardware upgrades, and peripheral troubleshooting.
- Support cloud services including Microsoft 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other SaaS applications.
- Assist with cybersecurity protocols including password resets, MFA setup, and basic security compliance.
- Ability to work weekends occasionally and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Ability to keep work areas clean and organized.
- This is an on-site role with up to 25% travel required.
Qualifications for External Candidates:
Minimal experience required, with willingness to learn and demonstrate competency in:
- Technical Support; Remote Support; Desktop Support
- Windows Server / Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 administration
- Basic Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- VoIP and modern phone system support
- Hardware break/fix and troubleshooting
Knowledge and experience with:
- Active Directory, Microsoft 365/Exchange Online, cloud services
- VMware or Hyper-V virtualization environments
- LAN/WAN basics, hardware and software troubleshooting
- Basic troubleshooting of network switches and wireless access points
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience monitoring progress of projects and working independently and proactively within tight, concurrent deadlines with accuracy
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively internally and externally in a team environment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
- Experience with remote support tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Remote Desktop)
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices
- Customer service experience in a professional environment
