About the opportunity

 

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Principal, you will be a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and automation, with a focus on delivering highly secure, scalable, and performant cloud solutions. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions, leveraging tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with IT and Product teams to ensure the delivery of cloud-first/cloud-native solutions that meet or exceed RTO/RPO requirements, and you will be responsible for the end-to-end target state for applications in the cloud. To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience in Azure as well as a deep understanding of microservices architecture and CICD pipelines. You should also have experience with open technologies, DevOps, and related IaC tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, DSC, GitHub, and TerraformYou should also have experience working in an Agile environment and a proven track record of successfully resolving or assisting with the resolution of production issues in established ITSM constructs, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level of Agreement (OLA) environments. 

 
What you'll get to do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and automation using Terraform, with a focus on delivering highly secure, scalable, and performant cloud solutions
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex, mission-critical cloud infrastructure, leveraging tools such as Terraform, ansible, and Kubernetes to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure
  • Work closely with IT and Product teams to ensure the delivery of cloud-first/cloud-native solutions that meet or exceed RTO/RPO requirements
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end target state for applications in the cloud
  • Manage and maintain various cloud apps and services, including Azure web app, Azure storage, Azure monitoring, Azure Backup, Azure key vault, and SQL managed instance
  • Resolve or assist with the resolution of production issues in established ITSM constructs, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level of Agreement (OLA) environments 

Skills and experience we value

  • 7+ years of experience in Azure or AWS
  • 7+ years of hands-on with infrastructure design and deployment utilizing PaaS and IaaS cloud offerings
  • 2+ years of experience with using configuration management and automation tools to provision and manage IT networks and systems, including Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, PowerShell, and Terraform 

What would make you stand out

  • Principal level experience with open technologies, DevOps, and related IaC tools, including Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, and DSC
  • Experience with Azure DevOps agile tools, working in an Agile environment
  • Experience in resolving or assisting with the resolution of production issues in established ITSM constructs, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level of Agreement (OLA) preferred
  • Azure, AWS or GCP certifications
