About the Role
Cloud Engineer (IaaS), Warsaw (Near site) – EU Public Organisations
Profile: Cloud Engineer.
Place of performance: Frontex Headquarters (Onsite) – 70% onsite / 30% remote. Candidates must be based within two hours of Warsaw.
Duration of the mission: 48 months.
Minimum level of education: Level 6.
Minimum English language skills (CEFR): B2.
Minimum IT relevant professional experience (years): 5.
Minimum experience at similar position (years): 2.
Rate: 300 €/day (NWH); 390€/day (EWH); 5.6 €/hour (On-Call Duties).
Expected NWH: 230 days × 4 years.
Expected EWH: 12 days × 4 years.
Expected On-Call: 2150 hours × 4 years.

Minimum required scoring for interview: 70%.
Required certificates:
Security Clearance: EU Restricted. (Must be valid from the first day of assignment).
One required mid-level Cloud certification such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
Knowledge and skills:
Technical knowledge of one or more enterprise Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud, including Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Containers, Databases, Analytics, and AI/ML services.
Proven experience in designing, building, and operating Cloud IaaS environments
Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Go, Bash, and Windows command-line tolos.
Demonstrable experience in Linux administration and scripting, preferably in Red Hat based environments.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft systems administration.
In-depth understanding of DevOps principles, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD practices.
Knowledge of Cloud security and compliance, including monitoring, auditing, and governance tolos.
Practical experience working in multi-team operational environments.
Experience with ITIL-based processes, including change, configuration, and release management.
Experience using ticketing and service management systems.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Proactive, self-motivated attitude with strong teamwork and user orientation.
Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to adapt quickly to fast-changing technologies and environments.
Specific Requirements
Required mid-level Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI).
VMware VCP-DCV v7.x or newer certification.
Ability to work in environments requiring RESTREINT UE / EU RESTRICTED security clearance.
Availability to work onsite at Frontex Headquarters according to the defined intramuros/extramuros Split.
Typical Tasks and Responsibilities
Administering and monitoring enterprise Cloud environments, including:
- Cloud subscriptions.
- Identity and access management.
- Resource provisioning and lifecycle management.
Implementing and maintaining automation of Cloud processes and operational tasks.
Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on Cloud resource utilization and consumption.
Preparing, updating, and maintaining operational reports, workflows, and dashboards.
Developing, updating, and maintaining Cloud policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provisioning and de-provisioning development environments and supporting DevOps projects.
Providing 2nd-line support to Frontex application development teams regarding Cloud services.
Coordinating with 3rd-line support providers and vendors when required.
Participating in technical coordination meetings and Cloud-related projects.
Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor in line with operational needs.
