Cloud Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to support a large-scale Facets migration project within the healthcare industry. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based applications and integrations, while ensuring performance, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate will bring a strong software engineering background and experience working in agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications and services supporting healthcare systems and Facets migration efforts
  
• Perform full software development lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment
  
• Develop and maintain APIs for integration with enterprise data sources and third-party systems
  
• Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable and efficient solutions
  
• Identify gaps in existing systems and recommend improvements or enhancements
  
• Assist in defining and evolving product and system architecture within a cloud environment
  
• Implement security best practices, including threat prevention mechanisms and secure coding standards
  
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security compliance
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application development, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
  
• Support system integration and migration activities related to the Facets platform
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud engineering or software development within a cloud environment
  
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment
  
• Experience developing APIs and integrating with enterprise systems
  
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (such as Java, Python, or .NET)
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
  
• Experience supporting healthcare systems or payer environments
  
• Exposure to Facets or similar healthcare platforms
  
• Experience working on system migration or transformation projects
  
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
  
• Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, or data pipelines
