The Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining all development and maintaining various applications, APIs, Integrations for the domains in scope of Cloud Operations. They will interact with Vendors and Business Units to support 3rd Party applications.
1) Development (40%)
a) Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, modules using App Engine, Flow Designer.
b) Design, build and implement complex workflows as required.
c) Develop and maintain integrations with third party tools using APIs, MID Server and Integration Hub and Spoke.
d) Build custom applications, bots within MS Teams to streamline communication across the enterprise.
e) Develop reports, dashboards as per requirements.
2) Workflow Automation (25%)
a) Design and develop end-to-end automation using Power Automate.
b) Build low-code, no-code applications using Power Apps.
c) Ensure SSDLC methodology is consistently followed on all projects. This includes, but is not limited to, providing oversight on architecture and development of solutions, assisting with translating requirements, and deploying code to staging and production.
d) Develop continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
3) Project and Vendor Management (10%)
a) Act as the WPCU technical contact for outsourced web development projects and serve as the coordinator for IT projects where assigned.
b) Serve as the project leader or coordinator for projects where assigned.
c) Provide the Vendor Management team with accurate and timely information during their periodic review of 3rd party providers for areas assigned.
4) Policy/Procedure Adherence (10%)
a) Create and maintain appropriate Systems & Software Development Life Cycle procedures which may include training of business units in proper usage.
b) Create and maintain Secure Coding Standards (SCS) which includes deployment procedures, and steps needed to keep up-to-date with applicable 3rd party tools and industry trends.
c) Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.
5) Daily Administration and Production Support (10%)
a) Provide 24x7x365 support when required (including after-hours/weekends) for all external websites/applications, the Corporate Intranet, and associated internal web applications.
b) Develop and/or maintain appropriate alerting systems to notify key IT and Line of Business staff of critical events and outages.
c) Provide regular updates and/or reports on application issues and system up-time to IT Leadership.
d) Build, monitor, and maintain an auditable release management environment to allow IT (or other authorized internal department users) to perform web content updates.
e) Document and maintain diagrams that depict web application flows and environment designs.
f) Review documentation provided by IT Security on existing security gaps and develops and implements appropriate remediation plans.
g) Develop, report, and maintain actionable retention schedules on web content systems.
6) IT Strategy/Planning/Budgeting (5%)
a) Assist with the updating of the 3-Year IT Operating Plan as it relates to public websites, the corporate intranet, and any tools or 3rd party services used in support of those areas.
b) Support IT Management by ensuring accurate information for the annual budgeting process is provided and included in appropriate functional areas (e.g. DP Communication, Consulting, Capital Funding)
c) Evaluate and recommend the proper use of (or changes to) the tools, 3rd party services, and/or 3rd party providers needed to keep the enterprise web presence current and maximize up-time.
